My Lord knows and that suffices
For my askings and my choices

Thus my prayer and my pleading,
Both a witness to my lacking

By this secret do I call out,
In my hardship and my comfort

I’m a servant and my pride comes,
from my poorness and my plights

O my Owner and my Divine,
You know already my condition,

And through what my heart drowns,
under my worries and occupations,

UPDATE

So restore me with grace,
From You O Master of masters!

O Most Generous One save me,
Before my patience ceases to be,

O Swift in granting aid! Do it now,
From you it will reach me swiftly,

Vanquishing all difficulty and bringing,
Whatever I hope for entirely,

O Most Near! O Responder!
O All-Knowing! O All-Hearing!

I have realized my incapacity,
My lowliness and utter brokenness,

I never stop standing by Your door,
So have mercy my Lord upon my standing,

And by the valley of grace I cling,
so O Lord make my devotion everlasting!

And of good opinion I am binded,
For He is my Close Friend and my Ally,

And my Companion and Sitting Partner,
Throughout both night and day,

This need in my soul O Lord,
Fulfill it O Best of those who do!

And ease both my secret and heart,
From its fire and blazes both,

In happiness and in joy both,
And what You are pleased in,

Then bliss and expansion are my state,
My slogan and my covering both,

My Lord’s knowledge has sufficed me,
From both my questions and choices,
